West Green Market, Boyd Hall
Ohio University
| Athens, Ohio

Tec Studio Provided lighting design services for the renovation of Ohio University’s Boyd Dining Hall, originally constructed in
1967 as the single dining hall on the West Green. A significant renovation created a vibrant place for dining and socializing.

The project included lighting design for three distinct restaurant themes, the new entry lobby and the retail grab-and-go space,
as well of all back of house kitchens. The lighting design for the project resulted in an energy savings of 25% less than the allowable ASHRAE lighting power density. The project includes daylight harvesting through the use of both LED and fluorescent luminaires to maintain the budget. The project is being submitted for LEED certification.
