Ardra Paige Zinkon, CLD, IALD

Ardra Paige Zinkon is the President of Zinkon Creative Studio, a lighting and technology design firm located in Columbus, Ohio.  Ms. Zinkon, a professional architectural lighting designer since 1997, is dedicated to the practice of professional architectural lighting design.  Her art and theatre background provides her with an eye for creating dramatic interest in lighting design. Additionally, her extensive knowledge of lighting control systems gives her a well-rounded approach to every project.

Ms. Zinkon is recognized as a Certified Lighting Designer and holds Professional Membership in the International Association of Lighting Designers. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Illuminating Engineering Society as well as served on multiple IES committees including: Progress Report, Leadership Forum, and the Library Lighting Committee. She regularly guest lectures at The Ohio State University, Miami University and Kent State. Ms. Zinkon has presented nationally at the IALD Enlighten Americas Conference, NeoCon and NeoCon East. She has presented at Lightfair International, the largest lighting tradeshow and conference in the world more than five times since 2010.

Ms. Zinkon maintains her LEED Green Associate credential. 

Timothy G. Pool, PE, RCDD

Mr. Timothy Pool is the Director of Technology Design for Zinkon Creative Studio. He has more than 30 years experience as an Electrical Engineer and Project Manager in design of building electrical systems, information technology systems and industrial/process design. As a technology designer for Zinkon Creative he is responsible for the design of data, A/V, security and fire alarm control systems designed for commercial, industrial and institutional type buildings. 

Mr. Pool is actively involved in the industry. He has been teaching classes relative to technology and building code for more than 10 years. He holds a NCCER Trainer - National Center for Construction Education and Research certification, and is a licensed Safety Inspector for the State of Ohio.  

Courtney Van Ostran, CPSM

Courtney is the Director of Strategic Partnerships for Zinkon Creative. She has more than 25 years experience as a professional services marketer in the design and construction industry. As a the director of strategic partnerships, she is responsible for the marketing and business development of the firm. 

Courtney is actively involved in industry and community organizations. She volunteers regularly and serves on several non-profit boards providing leadership and professional expertise to help women and children. She holds a Society for Marketing Professional Services certification for professional services marketing, and is a mentor to several in the SMPS Columbus Chapter.  

Heather Gandy

Heather Gandy is a Senior Lighting Designer with Zinkon Creative Studio. Prior to joining the Studio, Heather spent close to two decades as a lighting sales representative focusing primarily on lighting designers in Los Angeles and Orange County California. She is happy to return to the design world where she can utilize her extensive knowledge of fixture solutions to implement sound design choices. 

Prior to her role in Sales, Heather worked as a lighting designer on the west coast working on design projects ranging from theme parks to hospitality and residential. 

Heather holds a B.Arch. from the Ohio State University as well as a minor in Theatre where she engaged in her passion for lighting design and was a member of the architectural fraternity Alpha Rho Chi.  Heather has been an active member in the Southern California sections of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), the Designers Lighting Forum (DLFLA), and a supporter of the IALD.
